Monte Carlo MSSA to modeling GNSS position time series and its implication for crustal deformation monitoring

In this paper, a scheme of signal extraction and modeling for GNSS position time series based on Monte Carlo Multi-channel Singular Spectrum Analysis (MC-MSSA) is introduced, which can effectively consider the spatial correlation different directions by processing components at same time. Meanwhile, significance test utilized to distinguish from colored noise. By comparing with (SSA), it be confirmed that MSSA has better performance taking into account channels. Then, LHAZ station as an example, MC-MSSA simultaneously model three series, trend periodic signals are respectively identified Kendall nonparametric W-correlation analysis. The result denotes tectonic non-tectonic modeled more intuitively reflect dynamic movement station. Finally, MC-MSSA-modeled signal, we characterize crustal deformations around eastern Tibetan Plateau, mainly including strain rate change. results suggest pushing Plateau Indian plate blocked South China block, obviously decreased appears right-handed trend. junction block accumulated certain amount stress, activity relatively strong still belongs dangerous zone seismic activity.
